It pops up the 'window' menu. However, even if you are in the 'edit' menu, alt-w apparently does nothing. I can select text, do alt-E alt-W, move the pointer, then do ctrl-Y, and nothing pops up. This is still broken in IDLE 0.6 in Python 2.0. I doubt that I'll have time to fix it -- the keyboard bindings in general are utterly weird and inconsistent. So I'll add an item to PEP-42 (the wish-list) and close this bug report. |
