Alt-w is advertised to copy the selected text.
It doesn't.   It pops up the 'window' menu.
However, even if you are in the 'edit' menu,
alt-w apparently does nothing.

I can select text, do alt-E alt-W, move the pointer,
then do ctrl-Y, and nothing pops up.


By the way, 'ctl-U ctl-U ctl-S' is an absurdly long
sequence for something as common as searching for text.

This is still broken in IDLE 0.6 in Python 2.0. I doubt that I'll have time to fix it -- the keyboard bindings in general are utterly weird and inconsistent.
So I'll add an item to PEP-42 (the wish-list) and close this bug report.
