I got the answer, which was actually in my first message: there are 2
mailing lists. The first one is linked to by the pyxml sourceforge project
page, but is not used (at least, it never recieves any notifications).
This is the list I had suscribed to

The commit mails go to xml-checkins@python.org. To subscribe to this list,
check http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/xml-checkins This one seems
to be working.
