[XML-SIG] consolidation?

Hi there,

I have recently discovered Python and am really enjoying it (it is
amazing!). Having an interest in XML as well, I'm naturally interested in
the combination of the two.

However, from the outside, there seems to be a _lot_ of different XML tools
for Python. I can't help but wonder if there is too much overlap in some of
the projects. Is this just me, or does anyone else feel the same way?

On a related note, is there any talk of having a Python wrapper around
Xerces?

thanks,
Mike

ps. Please note that I don't mean to criticize the good work that has been
done. I also don't mean to seem ungrateful for the _free_ tools that have
been created through the hard work of others. This note is just an
observation in trying to help world domination.
