Watching how XBEL evolved from my first little hack to
a complex beast with external entity definitions, metadata
stuff, and lots of %foo.attrs stuff makes me realize why
there's so much XML confusion out there...

(Even if you think you understand exactly what a browser
bookmark is, that doesn't mean that you can quickly figure
out how to use a simple DTD like XBEL, not to mention
understanding anything written by an XML expert ;-)

Afaik, the XML standard already describes how to deal with
various character sets.  And since this format is basically
designed for computer consumption, adding tons of entities
doesn't feel necessary.  Please keep this as simple as it
possibly can be!
