Feel free to write said clarification, check it in, and add glowing 
praise for your efforts to the acknowledgements section.  I will 
indeed appreciate it, so you won't even be lying.   ;-)

Or, you can just send me a patch, and receive slightly less 
praise.  Either way works for me, though.  ;-)
