Personal quirk: I prefer to edit files in screen-sized pages, as it allows 
me to navigate quickly and see things in units.  The blank lines align 
units of code to the logical "pages".

Naturally, these won't stay in when this goes to the stdlib, as I recognize 
that my taste in paging is, um, unique.  :)
