Hello Jim:
Yes, I should take a look at this / apply, for 2 reasons (ha, more):
* I know I can build Docker containers, and with a mind-refresh, can do
those "layered" builds (a bit trickier, but useful)
* I am pretty sure I can port Django code from Django 1.x to Django 3.x,
in spite of not being a Django guru
* I could use the money, I suppose -- my April 2020 job with Cisco Engr
I.T. DevOps, was planned by me to go at least 2 years
Main issue,is the usual Catch-22 -- no Production Django experience.
Hopefully they are not using a weird JS framework like React, which looks like
a version of Dilbert Heck to me (ugh). I would probably call on you for
debugging such goo....
Ha ha! I have successfully (though it probably needs more tweaking) to get my
2014 Macbook Pro, converted to a dual-boot with Ubuntu 21.10 MATE desktop!
NFS worked immediately (and is quite fast), and remote X11 apps like
Thunderbird are working much faster than on XQuartz, which Apple does not care
about any more.
We talk soon! Happy Hollydaze!
