The website doesn't have a bug tracker, and I'm not sure it needs one (are there really so many reports about it?).
http://www.python.org/about/website/ says "To report a bug or to suggest an enhancement, send an e-mail to <webmaster at python.org>.".
FWIW there are plans to move the dev docs to docs.python.org, to make it easier to maintain. Once that is done it will be possible to file documentation issues in the normal bug tracker (and also contribute patches more easily).

Here is an updated version.
Now there are 5 tables:
 * "Issues opened" lists all the issues opened or reopened in the last period that are still open.
 * "issues closed" lists all the issues closed in the last period that are still closed.
 * "Top issues most discussed" lists at most 10 open issues active in the last period sorted by number of messages.
 * "Recent issues without reply" lists the last 10 issues with no replies.
 * "Issues waiting for review" lists all the issues active in the last period with stage "patch review" or keywords "patch" or "needs review".

to the true branch of an if test at line 76 of /home/roundup/trackers/tracker/detectors/sendmail.py.  This seems to have fixed it.  I have not updated SVN, I just made the change on the live system in order to get things working.  This line already appears in the code in the SVN checkout, so presumably this was a merge error when the patch was applied to the live system.

This patch enhance the left menu in the following ways:
 1) it cleans up the "Issues" section, leaving only:
      Create new  (for logged users)
      Search
      Show issue: |____|
 2) it adds a "Summaries" sections, that shows:
      Created by you (for logged users)
      Followed by you (for logged users)
      Assigned to you (for logged users with Developer status)
      Issues with patch
      Easy Issues
 3) it removes the "Your issues" entry from the "user" section, leaving only:
      (for logged users)
      Your details
      Logout
      (or for anonymous users)
      Login (...)
      Register
      Lost your login?

The patch also tweaks the searches (for example preferring the grouping by status rather that priority). I also cleaned up the HTML, removing useless tags and attributes (e.g. <br/>, empty class=""), using <strong> instead of <b>, and indenting the code properly.

This appears to have been fixed by updating a problematic file in the pytz lib that was causing processes accessing it to be killed.  The underlying problem (hardware?) is being looked at.

I've looked into this problem and this is what I figured out:
1) Roundup checks that the names are invalid;
2) It generates an error message;
3) It tries to render the page with the error message on the top in a red box;
4) It keeps displaying the rest of the page with invalid names still in the nosy;
5) It tries to sort the names by their id;
6) An invalid query is sent to the database and this "blocks" the db;
7) At the next query the db is still blocked an error is raised;

The easy fix is check that the id used in the query at 6) is numeric and raise an error if it's not.

The 'Summaries' reports in the left hand side menu include closed issues. Those issues are not very relevant for most users of the tracker.

This issue only affects the 'Assigned to you', 'Followed by you' and 'Created by you' reports.

One use-case the current behaviour breaks wrt. the previous reports: I use the 'assigned to you' report to get a quick summary of the amount of bugs that I should work on, and the count at the bottom of that report is no longer useful for that.

I quite like to have both and I decided to include them for different reasons:
1) sometimes I have to find closed issues that I created or fixed;
2) I don't usually have many issues assigned to me or that I have created that are still open (<20), so I can easily count them and know total/open/closed number with just a subtraction;
3) I can get an idea of how much work I have to do just looking at the page(s), even without knowing the exact number of open issues.

I currently have 28 issues assigned to me and have over 80 issues where I'm on the nosy list. Counts get a lot higher when closed issues are included.

I agree with Georg that looking for closed issues is something that can and should be done with a custom query, I almost never have the need for that and when I do I tend to have keywords that help my formulate a more specific query.

MVL suggested to add a case-insensitive UserSearch action in extensions/. There's already a similar action in extensions/search_id.py. Once the extension is done, it should be enough to change the URL in the interface to use action=usersearch.
The stringFind method in rdbms_common.py can be used to do the case-insensitive search.

Same here. I think it's a bug in Roundup and it should be reported upstream.
FWIW if you go here http://bugs.python.org/query and you have enough permissions to see it, you can delete the query manually, but on my instance I get "You do not have permission to retire query", so probably I need even higher privileges.
I guess that someone (Martin) could delete some of the queries on request, but it would be better to get this fixed.

It's a bug in the python-dev instance. It uses a GET on retire, yet the CSRF protection requires it to be a POST. Most likely, the instance needs to be updated to match the template.

I looked at this and found out that the delete button calls a Javascript function that redirects to "queryXX?@action=retire&@template=edit".
The problem with POST requests is that queryXX has to be specified in the action="" of the form, so -- unless I'm missing something -- the possible solutions are:
 1) create a different form for each query;
 2) send the request to something like "query?@action=retire&@template=edit&id=XX" and handle it server-side;

The latter might require a new action/extension (unless there's already a way to pass the id in that way).

Agreed, -1.  It clutters the UI, and given the relatively unstructured nature of 'component' would be difficult to implement in a consistent and useful fashion.  It also isn't particularly useful for actually working on a bug, since one would be doing that from a checkout, not from viewsvn or its hg equivalent.
