I've notice lately that e-mails that I send with my own address in to 'To:' field (I do this when I have a list of recipients in the BCC field) are always being put in the 'Junk Suspects' folder rather than going directly to my Inbox. This hasn't been a problems for years until the last few of months. Are you aware of this problem and do you have any suggestions for me to try. Most all other e-mails go directly to my Inbox unless they are spam and Spambayes does a very good job of routing spam to the Junk E-mail or Junk Suspect folders. Well, I'm not intimate with the innards of the spambayes components, but if a program behaves differently on commandline than it does in its own normal environment, I'd guess there's something different about the system environment: PATH, LD_LIBRARY_PATH, etc., etc., etc. -- ---- Fred Smith -- fredex at fcshome.stoneham.ma.us ----------------------------- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. ------------------------------ Philippians 4:13 ------------------------------- From emf at amhran.net Thu Apr 25 06:02:27 2013 From: emf at amhran.net (EMF) Date: Thu, 25 Apr 2013 00:02:27 -0400 Subject: [Spambayes] sb_filter.py eats mail when used in postfix content_filter In-Reply-To: <20130425034305.GA9620@fcshome.stoneham.ma.us> References: <517891BA.3070100@amhran.net> <20130425034305.GA9620@fcshome.stoneham.ma.us> Message-ID: <5178AAD3.2040803@amhran.net> On 4/24/2013 11:43 PM, Fred Smith wrote: > On Wed, Apr 24, 2013 at 10:15:22PM -0400, EMF wrote: >> OS: CentOS 6.4 x86_64 >> Postfix package: postfix-2.6.6-2.2.el6_1.x86_64 >> Spambayes package: spambayes-1.1-0.2.a6.el6.noarch >> >> All right, I've hit a brick wall with my integration of spambayes >> and postfix. The solution was quite easy for me. 1. Uninstall Spambayes from Programs and Features. 2. Uninstall Office 2010 x64. 3. Go to Microsoft's "How to uninstall or remove Microsoft Office 2010 suites" (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301) and use "Remove Microsoft Office 2010 suites manually" to remove any remnants. 4. Install the 32bit version of Office 2010 5. Install Spambayes 1.1a6. 6. Open Outlook and look at the add-ins tab. Spambayes should be there. 7. If you don't want to navigate to the add-ins tab every time you can add it to the Quick Access Toolbar. a. Click the little down arrow after the quick access toolbar in the upper left of the Outlook main window. b. Click "More Commands" c. Select "All Commands" in the "Choose commands from" combo box. d. Scross until you find "Custom Toolbars" and select it. e. Click "Add >>" f. Click "ok" Now you should have an icon in the quick access toolbar that looks like three little white rectangles stacked on top of each other. Click it and you'll see your Spambayes options. It's about the best we get with Office 2010 until the developers get time to do some programming again. -Craig Manske ? Please consider the environment before printing this e-mail.
