[Spambayes] Spam problem

I'm just getting ready to start Spambayes, but have a question that is a bothering me.  I have a piece of spam that has been sitting in my inbox for one week.  It will not delete and every time I put my cursor on it, the system locks up and I have to back out of Outlook Express.  Will Spambayes be able to move old emails such as this one?
