[Spambayes] "Recover from spam" does not work

Please help me.
I click on "recover from spam" and a dialogue box comes up telling me what
it will do but it doesn't do anything and a lot of messages I want in my
inbox of Microsoft Outlook are not getting there.

(It used to work perfectly and then all of a sudden stopped)

I need simple directions as I am technically challenged and the person who
set this up for me has passed away.
