So maybe you should add a note to "sb_mboxtrain.py -h", such as:

Do not use mailboxes which can be modified externally (by mail delivery
or procmail) with -g and -s switches. Mail delivered to mailbox being
processed by sb_mboxtrain.py can be lost. You may consider using
lockfile(1) command to protect mailbox from concurent modification.
