[Spambayes] SpamBayes in Public Folders - more

Something else I realized is that all e-mail from outside our network
gets posted to a Public Folder as a Post message, not an e-mail message.
SpamBayes will only filter "e-mail" messages.
 
I'm wondering if that's part of my problem.
 
If so, is there a work-around for this?
