Thunderbird, the open-source e-mail client that is growing out of the Mozilla project, has had a pretty lame spam filter. But recently the developer has been going over the SpamBayes code and reimplementing some of it in C++. http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=230093 Things are looking up.
