When processing even just one spam message Outlook seems to hang for minutes. Sometimes it won't respond at all and I have to kill it. The log keeps showing the message: pythoncom error: Python error invoking COM method. It used to work really well for me, not sure what happened. Attaching log. Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498103&aid=1985556&group_id=61702 From noreply at sourceforge.net Fri Jun 6 15:29:54 2008 From: noreply at sourceforge.net (SourceForge.net) Date: Fri, 06 Jun 2008 06:29:54 -0700 Subject: [spambayes-bugs] [ spambayes-Bugs-1986466 ] SpamBayes generates blank email messages Message-ID: Bugs item #1986466, was opened at 2008-06-06 09:29 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498103&aid=1986466&group_id=61702 Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Whenever I start Outlook or enable the SpamBayes add-in I get a blank email dropped into my Inbox. This actually started happening before I upgraded to Office 2007, in fact I recently switched to a new laptop and the same problem still occurs. I uninstalled SpamBayes and reinstalled and deleted my old database files to make sure it wasn't something in my configuration. Here is the error that keeps appearing in my spambayes log: Eeek - only expecting one row from IPC.MS.REN.USERFIELDS followed by a hex dump. I also see the following error: Folder 'Mailbox - Woodward, Steven/Inbox' has no field named 'Spam' - creating ERROR: Failed to check folder 'Mailbox - Woodward, Steven/Inbox' for Spam field com_error: (-2147352567, 'Exception occurred.', (4096, u'Microsoft Office Outlook', u'The message you specified cannot be found.', None, 0, -2147221233), None) SpamBayes: Watching (for filtering) in 'Mailbox - Woodward, Steven/Inbox' I've attached both my spambayes log file and the email message that gets generated. Category: None Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: James (james_000) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Personal folders not found with outlook 2007 Initial Comment: I am trying to configure Spambayes 1.1a4 with Outlook 2007. When I browse for folders in the configuration wizard my mailbox and public folders are listed but none of my personal folders are shown. There are also two folders shown which have no name, these seem to be duplicates of my mailbox and the public folders. There are several errors in the log which is attached. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Fraser Page (fraserpage) Date: 2008-06-24 14:01 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=2127384 Originator: NO I'm having this same problem. Inbox repair tool did nothing for me either. I've tried reinstalling and starting fresh with both 1.0.4 and 1.1a4. Browsing folders shows only 3 unnamed directories. Two of these directories are the Archive folder. The third is public folders. I have not seen any random folder visibility. Since I was alerted to the problem (it's on a co-worker's computer) I've only seen the same three unnamed folders. I believe this began with the installation of Outlook 2007. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: James (james_000) Date: 2008-01-08 07:39 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1975436 Originator: YES Inbox repair tool found and repaired some errors but this did not resolve the problem. Exchange folders are shown but personal folders are not and there are un-named duplicates of each of the exchange folders. I have found that sometimes one of the personal folders is visible but the next time outlook is started it will be gone again, this has happened with each of the personal folders and seems to be random. Category: imapfilter Group: 1.1.x Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Chris Graham (chris_graham) Assigned to: Tony Meyer (anadelonbrin) Summary: Trace on some qmail messages Initial Comment: I had some weird messages stuck in my qmail cur directory that were causing traces. Deleting those messages stopped the traces coming. The filenames were like "1194523619.1759.www.save:2," instead of like "1194523619.1759.www:2,". Note the old timestamps - this isn't a normal thing to have message files like that, they must be unusual somehow. I'm not sure what they mean, but when qmail was queried about the messages by spambayes imap it didn't get a good response back, just: ['1 (UID 39913 )'] This is in the __getitem__ function. Because of "if headers is None:" evaluating, the "BadIMAPResponseError("FETCH response", response_data)" exception triggered - killing off spambayes entirely. I had to manually "rm" the message files to get it running. I suggest it be refactored to be a bit more robust against such things? I say this as someone a bit in the dark though, I don't know what these "save" messages are and how they got there, and I'm not well enough versed in SMTP responses to say whether qmail is behaving correctly or not (it's listing them then subsequent failing to return full details for them - seems dodgy to me!). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498103&aid=2002106&group_id=61702 From noreply at sourceforge.net Wed Jun 25 00:54:11 2008 From: noreply at sourceforge.net (SourceForge.net) Date: Tue, 24 Jun 2008 22:54:11 +0000 Subject: [spambayes-bugs] [ spambayes-Bugs-2002095 ] Typo, "Cannot select spam folder" Message-ID: Bugs item #2002095, was opened at 2008-06-24 17:39 Message generated for change (Comment added) made by montanaro You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498103&aid=2002095&group_id=61702 Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. This is specifically when unticking ALL the filter folders - you can untick incomplete subsets just fine. Now I understand you do actually have to have at least one filter folder, but the UI should give some feedback when you try and do something invalid. On a similar note, if the unsure folder is set to blank, the UI happily let's you keep that - but actually running a scan will error out. Perhaps some kind of UI feedback (e.g. JS validation) could indicate this so you can fix it early on. Not a biggie. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498103&aid=2002647&group_id=61702 From noreply at sourceforge.net Fri Jun 27 15:24:45 2008 From: noreply at sourceforge.net (SourceForge.net) Date: Fri, 27 Jun 2008 13:24:45 +0000 Subject: [spambayes-bugs] [ spambayes-Bugs-2004131 ] [imapfilter] saving 1804 with new id: 1209671482 Message-ID: Bugs item #2004131, was opened at 2008-06-27 08:24 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498103&aid=2004131&group_id=61702 Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update.
