I was able to find a "help" button for SourceForge and was able to "register" with them, but they said they did not support Spam Bayes. But, they linked me to a project page. However, I couldn't find anything via their suggestions. Somehow I found the "support requests" and threads of questions asked for this SpamBayes anti-spam project. Then I tried to log in and ask a question, but I was told I needed a group ID -- So, how do I get a group ID to log in to the support RQ to send a question message? Why is this so hard ? I want just a normal forum. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498104&aid=1931511&group_id=61702 From noreply at sourceforge.net Wed Apr 2 00:03:33 2008 From: noreply at sourceforge.net (SourceForge.net) Date: Tue, 01 Apr 2008 15:03:33 -0700 Subject: [spambayes-bugs] [ spambayes-Support Requests-1931511 ] need help with support RQ Message-ID: Support Requests item #1931511, was opened at 2008-04-02 04:01 Message generated for change (Comment added) made by mhammond You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498104&aid=1931511&group_id=61702 Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Sure the patch works so far. I found another place in code where localized options are used in Outlook2000/filter.py. See the provided patch. A quick question: if I trick spambayes into running the german translations, I notice the "Training" dialogs still have "mark the message as unread" in English, even though I see the .po file has provided a translation. Do you see the same? I believe a side-effect of your patch is that the INI file will now always store the english version, not the localized one - and I think that is a *good* thing - otherwise it would be a support and doc problem, but worse, would mean that as a translation gets more complete, it would break things. For example, consider the other option: FILTER_ACTION = _("Untouched"), _("Moved"), _("Copied") I believe they will be stored in the INI file as their translated version. However, none of the other translations define those messages - so the english version will be stored. If a later version of spambayes does provide a translation, their existing options would not be recognised. Could you please see if the attached patch works for you? Note there is a new string in dialog_map.py that will need to be translated (but see above - even the "mark the message as unread,..." translation isn't working for me). It includes the trick to switch spambayes languages, which I think I will leave in... So far I can see the file messages.po is a binary file which was checked into CVS initial as a text file. This has changed now in SVN but this action destroyed the file. In the supplied ZIP file there are newer versions of German message files. Files where built against updated messages.pot. Tested on German Vista x86 + Office 2007 + Spambayes SVN trunk version. Remark: The Poedit application was improved really in the meantime. It is really easy and comfortable now to localize the message files. Just open the messages.mo file, import the catalog file, make changes, save the file, restart Outlook, see the result! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498105&aid=1932301&group_id=61702 From noreply at sourceforge.net Thu Apr 10 04:58:45 2008 From: noreply at sourceforge.net (SourceForge.net) Date: Wed, 09 Apr 2008 19:58:45 -0700 Subject: [spambayes-bugs] [ spambayes-Feature Requests-1646536 ] Make use of Outlooks black/white list Message-ID: Feature Requests item #1646536, was opened at 2007-01-28 10:57 Message generated for change (Comment added) made by plusaf You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498106&aid=1646536&group_id=61702 Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. PLS: spambayes is a anti-spam tool, which works with a bayes database (self-learning system). BLACK/WHITE list is very .... static - and i think static for spam would not the great deal :9 cu camel ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498106&aid=1646536&group_id=61702 From noreply at sourceforge.net Thu Apr 10 05:01:19 2008 From: noreply at sourceforge.net (SourceForge.net) Date: Wed, 09 Apr 2008 20:01:19 -0700 Subject: [spambayes-bugs] [ spambayes-Feature Requests-1463905 ] Junk E-Mail & Action Button Message-ID: Feature Requests item #1463905, was opened at 2006-04-03 16:38 Message generated for change (Comment added) made by plusaf You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498106&aid=1463905&group_id=61702 Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update.
