The goal was simply to improve the chances that ocrad would "see" text in images which contain text. I'm sure there's more that can be done. This has no affect on the error, nor does removing the configuration, database, or even uninstalling and reinstalling (Although the toolbar seems to get stuck as an option even efter uninstall). SpamBayes was working on this configuration previously, I have no idea what's changed but it did coincide with Patch Tuesday. The only things I can see which may have changed it (According to Windows Update) are some definition updates for Windows Mail and Windows Defender. I have not made any changes to my Office configuration, nor installed any applications which rely on the Outlook database since SpamBayes was working. Other apps seem to talk to the database OK, including iTunes, Nokia PC Sync and Mobile Device Center. I did have an issue where Outlook seemed to 'forget' its default profile settings, but this has since resolved itself. Latest log file attached. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Eric Roberts (woad2112) Date: 2007-02-07 21:10 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1526382 Originator: NO The the appcompat.txt that Vista produces in regards to the error. You can either always run outlook as administrator (right click, run as administrator), or change the perms under \program files\spambayes. You can probably get very granular with what to allow, etc, but I just went to c:\program files with an elevated command prompt and did icacls spambayes /grant users:F /T ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nick Jackson (jacksonj04) Date: 2006-12-26 16:28 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=620331 Originator: YES This issue still occurs following a complete format and re-install of Vista and Office. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498103&aid=1619690&group_id=61702 From noreply at sourceforge.net Mon Feb 12 12:24:56 2007 From: noreply at sourceforge.net (SourceForge.net) Date: Mon, 12 Feb 2007 03:24:56 -0800 Subject: [spambayes-bugs] [ spambayes-Patches-1652111 ] patch to use gocr or ocrad Message-ID: Patches item #1652111, was opened at 2007-02-05 14:16 Message generated for change (Comment added) made by mhammond You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498105&aid=1652111&group_id=61702 Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Initial Comment: I've tried it with both 1.0.4 and 1.1a3. If the message with attachement exceeds ~2Mb spambayes messes something up and the outlook reports an error Task '217.10.144.98 - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).' Seems like spambayes is reporting message size bigger than it is. There are no errors if I try to retrieve the message directly from the pop3 server. I'm using Mercury mail as the pop3. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: dale (rxpc) Date: 2007-02-22 12:53 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1726143 Originator: NO I am having similar problems on a Debian linux system running 1.0.4. Incoming seems to do better than outgoing. The smtp proxy is already choking at 1.5MB. It does not matter if the email itself is large or if the attachment is large. Watching running processes shows tremendous cpu usage (99%+) and 6% - 10% available memory usage. Then, before finishing, the cpu usage drops off suddenly, but the sb_server process continues and is available for other mail. I've also tried throwing more power at it by installing on newer, more powerful systems. It gets farther along in the process, but ultimately fails. I had one dual processor system (running spambayes) that claimed the email+attachment was sent, but it never was received by the recipient. No errors were generated in syslog or anywhere else that I could think to look. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498103&aid=1563506&group_id=61702
