Summary: spambayes on terminal server
Initial Comment:
We have got a terminal server (Windows 2003) with
Outlook 2003 for each user. Is it possible to install
spambayes on such a server safely, and perhaps install it
for every user at once?
Also, would it possible to put in some default
configuration for all users in one go?
I ask this, because it would be a pain to login as each
and every user manually and install spambayes. Not to
mention the fact that such a user needs permissions on
the server to install software...

This message indicates that if you install it on the server
it will be installed for everyone, with separate databases:
<http://mail.python.org/pipermail/spambayes/2004-March/011650.html>
I believe (but do not know) that each user would have the
configuration wizard pop up - if they just click through
that it will do the default configuration for them. The
configuration that's needed is to select the
watch/unsure/spam folders, and unless you know the Outlook
ids for those (and they exist), then you can't do that
automatically with any scripts we currently have.
