Summary: Outlook 2002 Crashes upon launch
Initial Comment:
Outlook 2002 (10.6515.6626) SP3/PII
350 Mhz/384 mb RAM/30 Gb HD/MS W98 (first addtn)
w/add-in of MS Personal file back up as well as Plaxo
contacts to Outlook
2-3 days after installation of Spam-Bayes, application
would crash with statement "Outlook has encountered a
problem and will shut down". You could lauch the app in
Outlook "safe mode" but not normal launch. Continuos
failure to launch.
After many hours (12-15) work and help from Dial-a-
Tech, it was determined that you are not able to
add/remove Outlook after SP2(3) applied.....and only
after changing file name "outcmd.dat" to outcmd.old,
removing Spam-Bayes from system (add/remove
programs) and re-launching does Outlook seem to
perform correctly.
I'm hesitant...but want to re-install Spam-Bayes! GREAT
application as long as performs correctly!
Please advise....
Thank You,

I'm afraid it is possible that this is not related to
spambayes, so I can only suggest you re-install spambayes,
and see if the problem happens again. If it does, at least
you know how to fix it :) Please let us know if you do this
(and please reset the bug status to "open" if you do)
