Would it be possible to ask Numfocus to buy a Mac?
I'd be happy to help set up and maintain the common compilers and Pythons (Apple, Macports, Homebrew, Fink).
We could then use it for continuous integration of the scipy stack and give developers ssh access to test / debug issues.
