[SciPy-User] recipe for installation on Mac OS X?

Hi,

the only sensible approach I have experience with is macports. Other people use fink and homebrew, YMMV.

With macports, you have to
1) install xcode
2) download and install macports
3) sudo port selfupdate
4) sudo port install py27-scipy # and maybe you want py27-matplotlib and gcc45 too.

Just ask if you have more questions.
