[SciPy-User] Working with AVI video files in python

Hi everyone -

I have some videos (AVI files, MJPG encoding) that I would like to
split into frames so that I can analyze them in scipy/numpy.

Any suggestions of a good python package for doing this?  I'm looking
for something along the lines of the MATLAB aviread or mmreader
commands.
