[SciPy-user] Usage of PyDSTool

Warren has answered about VFGEN : it can not handle vector variables
right now...
What about PyDSTool ? Do I have to provide a textual description of the
dynamical system ? Can't symbolic-like calculations be avoided ?
It should be possible to write a generator for an ODE file as the ones
given in the XPP tutorial but I do not understand why such a description
is needed...

Can someone using PyDSTool give me some explanations ?
