[SciPy-user] svn checkout question

I work under windows xp and recently was using tortoise svn to try to check
out scipy with the hopes of building it from source.  I was prompted for a
user name and password.  Is this supposed to happen?  Also, do I need to do
anything special to get files from the sandbox?
