[SciPy-user] packaging with numpy.distutils

Hi,

I posted this to the numpy list but maybe it has been overlooked. Apologizes for
asking here.
I am creating a binary package on windows (bdist_wininst) making use of
numpy.distutils and I would like to have something installed into PREFIX. With
standard distutils this can be achieved by using the data_files keyword with
setup. With numpy.distutils however those data end up in site-packages.
Any ideas?
