[SciPy-user] numpy - scipy version hell

Thanks much, Robert.  Alas, that's where METHOD 1 (numpy fails) has its 
problem.   I can't get numpy 1.0rc3 to install:  it gives a different error 
(undefined symbol: s_cat).
