[SciPy-user] brute() in optimize.py

Hi,
I'm quite new to using SciPy (and NumPy), and was wondering if I could
get some help on using brute().  I've been able to use some of the other
optimization functions but would like to reconcile differing values
using brute force.  I'm trying to optimize a function taking a single
scalar argument.  If I could get an example of how to use brute() or any
background on how to use it, that would be great.
