[SciPy-user] A simple 3d OpenGL viewer and color map for matrices

mayavi is actively maintained.  I have used it with some success.  There 
was a bit of a learning curve for me to get the data in the right format 
and figure out how to display it.  I think there is a lot of 
functionality, but that can make it harder to learn how to do simple things.
