BTW, how can I check the sign of \det(C)= \pm \det(U) ?

P,L,U,info = linalg.lu(C)

detA = \pm prod(diag(U))

\pm denotes plus minus...


\det(A) = \det(P) \det(L) \det(U) = \det(P) \det(U)
