[SciPy-Dev] Shapelet Functions

Hi scipy-dev community,

I am working on a library to generate shapelet functions for use in image
processing. Applications range from analyzing images of galaxies to finding
defects in nano-structured materials.  Would the community be interested in
this as a contribution to scipy?
