I've updated the logo code
<https://github.com/tonysyu/SciPy-Central-Logo>to use multiple globe
orientations. The original had arrows pointing from
specific cities into a central location, which made a lot sense for "Scipy
Central". To allow multiple globe orientations, however, I changed the
arrows so that they start from the edges of the globe; that way the start
positions wouldn't be at random locations when the map was reoriented. It
doesn't mesh quite as well with what I had in mind, but at least the arrows
don't point into the North Atlantic Garbage Patch anymore.

Also, I tweaked the element sizes so that it looked better at smaller
scales (which was mentioned in a separate thread).

The example focuses the arrows on a list of cities, but it could be made
completely random if desired. I've copied a couple of orientations below
(there aremore cities in the code, and more can be easily added).

Cheers,
-Tony

The one below may be closer to logo size.
