[SciPy-dev] Unifying lapack/blas in lib and linalg

Hello,

Before releasing 0.7, I would like to see atlas/blas wrappers in just
one place.  Currently the wrappers are in both lib and linalg.  The
code duplication has existed for way too long.  Given that Tiziano
Zito has offered to contribute symeig, I think that this might be a
good time to clean up our existing code.

Is anyone interested in working on this?  Maybe a few people will be
willing to step forward and focus on this during the SciPy 0.7 sprint
that we will be holding Nov. 1-2.  Please let me know ASAP if you are
interested or have suggestions.  Thoughts?
