Hi, I found a bug in the implementation of hyp1f1 (special/cephes/hyperg.c) most probably due to chageset 3012. Please see ticket #659 . A possible solution seems to be to use the function chgm in special/specfun/specfun.f. I changed my local copy of scipy accordingly and it so far works fine. Greetings, Moritz
