Hello Pauli,

Is there any reason that this hasn't been committed?  It looks good to
me:  it is requested, small, useful, tested, and documented.  Stefan
has looked it over and given it his approval.  If there is a reason to
defer this, please update the ticket.  Otherwise, please commit the
patch and close the ticket.
