[SciPy-dev] Should NIfTI be in scipy?

scikits can be as focused as they like. However, PyNIfTI already exists as a
project and seems to be kept up (the last release being on 2007-09-30). I'm
still not clear on why a fork is being made, wherever it happens to go.
