Fedora is a community project and I bet they would be interested if someone
where to provide a python2.5 for Fedora 6.  I don't have any time; but if
anyone is interested, just take a look at:

I was initially; but then I noticed that there is no Python 2.5 package for
any of the released versions of Fedora.  For the next year at least, there
will be people running older versions of Fedora.  So it might be better to
hold off on a 2.5 dependency until most users have ready access to it.  (The
version of ctypes provided by Fedora doesn't work with NumPy, so you need
to  easy_install ctypes.  That is pretty easy.)
