Well, that would be why I put it up there.  :-)

There will be. It's one of the several projects I am interested in mentoring.
There are possibly others interested as well. Of course, decisions as to who
will be mentoring what project won't be made until the proposals are in and
reviewed.

Actually, you get to write the proposal yourself. ;-) However, I'm more than
happy to look over what you've written and make suggestions before you submit
your proposal. The same goes for any other potential scipy students.
