Message-ID: <4819333B.5040405@adelaide.edu.au> Hi, I went looking for heat map tools a while back, didn't really find anything that really worked for me. Found this and will have a tinker; http://code.google.com/p/gheat/ Google Maps gives you API for adding additional map layers. This software implements a map tile server for a heatmap layer. * Python 2.5 (needs sqlite) * Pygame or PIL * Aspen 0.8 (Python webserver) What I want to do is have a client that store sql locally, for wifi and gps info for my essid when I travel around. Store that offline and batch process is so that I can use it a bit like a coverage map. cheers, Kim -- Operating Systems, Services and Operations Information Technology Services, The University of Adelaide kim.hawtin at adelaide.edu.au From kim.hawtin at adelaide.edu.au Wed May 21 04:24:36 2008 From: kim.hawtin at adelaide.edu.au (Kim Hawtin) Date: Wed, 21 May 2008 11:54:36 +0930 Subject: [sapug] FWD: promotional offer for user groups from Python Magazine Message-ID: <483387E4.5070504@adelaide.edu.au> Hi, Don't know if anyone is interested in this; http://mail.python.org/pipermail/advocacy/2008-May/000587.html > Python Magazine would like to offer free 3 month PDF subscriptions for > members of Python user groups. I'm just trying to work through the logic of this - I'm not sure if he's after the mailing list subscription to sign up to the offer, or just to vet against. I'll email him asking for clarification. -- Regards, Daryl Tester "I hate the Treasury jiggery-pokery / I keep my money in a piggery, locally.
