------------------------------------------+---------------------------------
 I am trying to install Python 2.4.2 on a x86_64 machine running Centos 4.

 I am attempting to generate a binary rpm from the source as there is no
 binary rpm for x86_64. I have been running into problems because the patch
 python-2.4-lib64.patch fails on the file setup.py.

 Here is the error message.
 {{{
 Installing python24-2.4.2-10.src.rpm

 }}}
 The patch file on which is failing generates the following setup.py.rej
 file

 I have looked at setup.py and it seems quite different from the patch
 file. I am not going to reproduce the setup.py file here as you already
 have it :-).

 Here is the Setup.dist.rej file. I haven't compared the patch to the
 original.

 Can you please update the patches and let me know when the issue is
 resolved ? I will be happy to assist you in any way I can.

 Thanks
