The installer is a mpkg, when you customize the installation you can avoid installing the profile changes and unix tools. The package names should be fairly obvious.

This will still change the Current link in the Python.framework to 2.5, but that shouldn't cause problems as nobody should link using '-framework Python' anyway. This certainly doesn't affect distutils.
