[Pythonmac-SIG] Folder locations?

I have a general Mac question, which I'm having a hard time answering. I hope that's okay.

If we create a new folder (inside another), open it and then set its window size, where is the size stored? Apparently, MacOS 9.x and MacOS X stores them in different places? Thank you!
