All the changes are protected by a TK_AQUA define, it does not key 
off of the platform for just that reason. However I'm not set up to 
test the "normal" X/Tkinter.

Let me work up the patch a bit more and post it to SourceForge.

I don't think this should go into 2.2 because
1. Time is tight
2. Tkinter/Aqua is alpha,
