This sounds very cool.  I think this key mapping is similar to what MCL
uses, though I wouldn't swear by it -- I also wouldn't claim it's the best
possible.  Is it possible to detect control-up and control-down?  Or maybe
page up/down or home/end?  Or control-p and control-n?

Yeah, and cmd-p usually means "print" (as it does, for example, with the
printing patch installed).
