On the subject of learning vim: There's an excellent vi cheat sheet
available on the internet.  I've put a copy of it at
https://stromberg.dnsalias.org/~strombrg/vi.ref.6

vi is of course the predecessor of vim. But that cheat sheet is still great
for learning much of vim.
