Good virtualenv and packaging tutorials for beginner?

I recently used
http://www.simononsoftware.com/virtualenv-tutorial-part-2/ to set up
one. I was mostly trying to see if I could use it to install current
Python 3 to an oldish Debian system. Worked fine.
