New to python, do I need an IDE or is vim still good enough?

You going to create a war here. My honest advice, is just taste the 
different ides that are out there.

- emacs
- vi
- aptana
- eclipse
- pycharm
- wingide.
- etc
- etc.

I currently use emacs for everything.
