Upgrading from Python 2.6.5 w.r.t. matplotlib/numpy?

Numpy isn't available for 3.1 yet. IIUC, its not That Terribly Awfully
Long Away (meaning, some indeterminate time probably counted in months
and not years), but its not there yet.
