is there a way to collect twitts with python?

anyway i found:

and

and both were easy to install on intrepid .. but didn't work
python-twitter did work by manually downloading:
http://python-twitter.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/twitter.py
well but it seems like i have to follow the guy to get his twit
