No, you're not missing anything; my fault. I wasn't very awake when I
wrote that, I guess. Don't include the hostname, just write:
sn = '/~myusername/apps'
cherrypy.quickstart(Root(), sn, config)

That's normal behavior; just a warning, not an error.
