What is the best way to upgrade python?

Yeah, sorry I should have added more data.
You will need to go to rhn.redhat.com and either download the RPM or get the
url.

So you would do:
(1) download the rpm to your home directory
rpm -Uvh nameOfRPM

or
(2) grab the url
rpm -Uvh http://urlOfRPM

either way should update your python.   Dont be distressed if you need to
update or install new RPMs.
